Saturday 27 February 2016. Minimal Check-In

It was 30 degrees F under mostly clear skies at 7:40 this morning, which was mostly devoted to preparing for my afternoon yoga class. Can’t seem to fit as many different things into the morning as I used to, alas.

So didn’t attempt a bike ride, except to pass by the witch hazel, on which the early light shone dazzlingly. today.

Examined the Helebores there, which had looked so vigorous in January but now, though clearly alive, were the same except somewhat weathered.

And moved on with the day, pondering the deep mystery of how to tell another entity (child, adult, family, neighbor, tribe, corporation, state) that they have overstepped the boundary within which I feel safe and to please get back. Don’t think I’ll figure that one out

About Velo du Jour

I am a 61 year old mom/wife, former biologist, and presently certified Iyengar yoga teacher, and I love, besides biking (and other things), nature, swimming, drawing, photography, yarn, exploring adoption themes, and putting people at ease. In April 2012, I participated in "30 Days of Biking " on Twitter, sponsored by a group of "joyful cyclists" in Minneapolis during the month of April. I loved tweeting about each day's ride so much I didn't want to stop! "Velo du Jour" is a continuation of recording and sharing my rides post-30 Days of Biking.
