Tuesday 7 April (Day 7, 30 Days of Biking) 2015. Lots of Rides in the Fog

It was 57 degrees F at 1 pm, the sky light grey with clouds and fog. Visibility was not a problem in town, but decided not to ride out in the country under such conditions.

So rode south on Race Street and stopped to record the progress of the small yard with many bulbs, where lots of daffodils were starting to bloom.

Rode to Meadowbrook Park to see the bloodroot flowers.

Also got to see the prairie with fog-softened edges.

Then looped around east Urbana.

After that did three different errands by bike, including grocery shopping.

The challenge of 30 Days of Biking is helping keep our car in the driveway!

About Velo du Jour

I am a 61 year old mom/wife, former biologist, and presently certified Iyengar yoga teacher, and I love, besides biking (and other things), nature, swimming, drawing, photography, yarn, exploring adoption themes, and putting people at ease. In April 2012, I participated in "30 Days of Biking "http://30daysofbiking.com/ on Twitter, sponsored by a group of "joyful cyclists" in Minneapolis during the month of April. I loved tweeting about each day's ride so much I didn't want to stop! "Velo du Jour" is a continuation of recording and sharing my rides post-30 Days of Biking.
